Solar Liberty

Update 17May2024: Adam, the president of Solar Liberty, immediately reached out and apologized for my experience and is working with me to rectify the problems mentioned in my original review. Based on how things are resolved, I will update again. Original, unchanged review written 10May2024: The experience I had with Solar Liberty directly was limited. The sales team was helpful, but once their local contractors showed up to install, the problems started. Their quality of work was poor, come see the hole they left in my wall where the internal shut off was installed. They didn't care about the look of the install -- bare metal conduit along the roof over dark shingles looks cheap and industrial and they don't run them through the attic. To their credit, during install they found there was room to fit another panel on my main roof and offered to move one. They proposed a move but I was only able to think about it for a minute and after the fact I regret the taking their choice because they moved 1 panel from the mid roof to the main instead of moving one of the lowest priority locations to the main roof (my fault for not correcting them but they should be the experts!). Beyond the install, the system/app is buggy or broken. After about 2 months, it lost connection to the wifi and won't reconnect. At least there's a backup cellular implemented so we can keep up on the system performance. Finally, no support has been available; the email wait time is on the scale of months! Overall this is my first experience getting into PV and I'm still glad I went into solar, but I have regrets with the partner I chose.

Solar Liberty was great to work with. They were helpful in explaining all of our options and clear about pricing. The installation crew was professional and fast and did a great job including cleaning up when they were done.

MY ELECTRIC BELL WENT FROM OVER $200 DOLLARS TO IN MOST MONTHS TO $17.95 . I BOUGHT MY PANELS FROM SOLAR LIBERTY AND I HAVE NOT HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM AND HAVE RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS

Nate continues to update me with solar energy information even though I am not ready to pursue this avenue. By keeping in touch, his contact information will be on hand when the time is right. Solar energy appears to be the go-to method for energy savings now and in the future. I heartily encourage friends and relatives to investigate the solar energy option.

I have only 12 panels, due to my installation placement avoiding the shade of a tree, at the time of my install in 2018. It was estimated that my production would be approximately 50%, but I have realized more than that, with a lifetime average of 64% production. I believe our selection of Solar Liberty for our provider was an excellent choice to maximize our investment. Customer Service has always provided me a quick response for the few times I have to contacted Solar Liberty, even with simple questions.

Solar Liberty team has been great to work with so far. They helped us work through a plan for the array on the house and gave us plenty of time and space to make the decision. Since then the project team has checked in when they've needed things as well as an occasional update note with the status. Going good so far. We'll update after installation!
