My Motivation:
#1--to increase energy efficiency of home #2--to increase comfort of home and gain back space that we rarely used because of uncomfortable temperatures #3--to benefit the environment
Advice:
Our initial insulation project--foaming the basement and rafters--greatly improved the energy efficiency of the home. Completing the DER in the second stage only made sense because we were already removing the siding (vinyl, to be replaced with clapboard) for aesthetic reasons.
