How our business works

Installers and other service providers pay us a small fee to participate in our marketplace, but only after they are checked for reliability and suitability to be part of the EnergySage platform. They cannot simply pay to be on our platform. They cannot bias our recommendation of their products or services.

Our fee is a fraction of the cost these companies would otherwise spend on sales and marketing. When companies like these work directly with consumers, rather than through EnergySage, almost a quarter of the final price paid by the shopper goes towards covering their sales and marketing costs. EnergySage reduces these expenses for companies on our platform, allowing them to offer our shoppers significantly lower prices—typically, over 20% lower.
