Financial Details
- Own or Lease:
- Cash Purchase
- Additional Financial Notes:
- I couldn't break down the energy savings by system, as all systems work together. The geothermal heat pump runs on energy supplied by the solar collectors and the load on the whole system is affected by the passive solar design and tight envelope. All in all, the house is has been net-zero for the past two years, with a surplus of about 1,000 kwh, more than offsetting the 12 gallons of propane used for stove-top cooking.
