What You Need to Know
Description:
12 PV panels with 6 roof mount dual micro-inverters.
Other Benefits:
The micro-inverters allowed for simple wiring of a single 20 amp 240 volt circuit to be run up to the roof. With a separate inverter for each panel, having shade on one panel does not affect the others.
Maintenance Requirements:
Snow needs to be raked off after a snowstorm.
My Motivation:
These panels are to offset the electricity used by the geothermal heat pump which is replacing my oil burner.
Additional Notes:
I did most of this installation myself. A friend helped me haul the panels onto the roof. An electrician did the final connection to the breaker box / grid.
Open House Info:
From exit 20 on I-93 head N&E on US-3 & NH-11 for 4.8 miles. Turn Left at light onto Bay Rd. Go 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Lower Bay Rd. Go 3.2 mile. If you think there is a fork in the road, bear right. (It turns to dirt at about 3.1 miles.) Turn right onto Kaulback Rd (dirt). 3rd drive on right. WARNING: Some GPS systems puts my address on an undriveable abandoned road in the middle of the woods about a mile away. PS. I am a terrible housekeeper but the energy stuff is cool.
