What You Need to Know
My Motivation:
Payback Period
Advice:
There may be unexpected add-on costs. These include but are limited to MSP (Main Service Panel) upgrade, trenching for the upgrade, landscaping for the upgrade OR installation of the SDGE RMA (Renewable Meter Adapter). In many cases they can add 50% or more to the cost greatly extending the payback period.
Experience with Installer:
Much of the problem I encountered may have been because of the pandemic but I found communication with the installer to be difficult. What was supposed to be a turnkey installation was actually something I had to carefully monitor and participate in.
