What You Need to Know
Description:
26 Panasonic solar panels attached to my shop that will feed both the shop and my house.
Other Benefits:
It is projected to supply about 94% of my annual electricity and good for the environment!
Maintenance Requirements:
The system is brand new and started delivering electricity on May 4, 2022. In spite of cool and cloudy weather, my system delivered an additional 250 KWH over what I used for the month of May. I purchased NO electricity from the grid in May!!!
My Motivation:
Benefit to the environment, offsetting rising electricity costs and increasing the resale value of my home is what motivated me to consider solar power. The solar panels and inverters have 25 year warranties.
Advice:
If you're serious about solar power act now as the tax credits for solar power on residential structures are slated to expire soon.
Experience with Installer:
The process of getting quotes and then deciding on a specific installer was fairly straightforward. The company I chose was Northwest Renewables and they were absolutely wonderful to work with.
