What You Need to Know
Description:
We have 26 panels with Enphase micro-inverters
Other Benefits:
Monitoring, warranties
Maintenance Requirements:
In the last 5 years I haven't had any maintenance or issues. It still looks great and is working perfectly.
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
We have also replaced windows, insulated the attic and bought an electric car.
My Motivation:
My wife talked me into meeting with an energy consultant. I was surprised that we could own our own power, do something good for the envoirnment and put some money back in our pocket. The loan and remaining energy was more affordable than the cost of doing nothing. Our payments haven't increased, we got a tax credit, and we loved it so much I've had friends and family that got a quote and went solar too!
Experience with Installer:
We had a great experience, our install team was amazing, our system looks great and works well. The quote wasn't the cheapest but I know we made the right decision with the company because they have continued to be a great resource to us over the years.
Additional Notes:
I had been working with a financial firm for almost 12 years when we went solar. I had such a great experience that I jokingly said I wanted to go sell solar. After a year of telling people to look into it, and get a quote I realized I wasn't joking. I went to go sell solar about a year after we installed it on our house. I've been in the industry for about 4 years and I'm not only glad I've gone solar, but so happy to be part of the journey for other people. I'm selling sunshine and happiness, while at the same time helping build a better tomorrow.
