What You Need to Know
Description:
19.5 kW system with Enphase Gateway and IQ8M Micro Inverters. The panels used were Solaria Power X-390Rs.
Maintenance Requirements:
Yearly inspection- cleaning maybe required during very dry years but so far rain keeps panels fairly clean in this area. May do a cleaning every other year. We also had Snowguards installed to slow down "avalanches" near our front door and the back porch.
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
None
My Motivation:
Mainly tired of paying electric bills + also considering battery backup/alternate energy source to cutdown footprint.
Advice:
RESEARCH and be patient- I spent 6 months reading about everything and then a couple of months working on reviewing installers and then 6 months for PTO process after install. Lengthy.
Experience with Installer:
BrightEye Solar is a top-notch company whose been doing this work in PA for over a decade.
