Be patient with your self. It goes slow at first because it can be difficult to compare companies. They use different panels, inverters, etc and some claim to be "premium" companies which just means they charge twice as much as competitors for no good reason. I finally settled on Smart Solar because their people impressed me, had excellent references, used top-notch panels, proposed a timeline that was relatively short, and charged less than others. Their installers have lots of experience. Good warrantees, minimal disruption to existing electrical They were quick, well-organized and they kept me apprised along the way. Financing was available but we did not use it--didn't need to. They delivered.
