I've had the pleasure of having Anil work on my solar system and I truly couldn't be happier. Appreciate the hard work he put in to making things work for me.

I researched installers for several months prior to hiring Sumintra. The big installers provided estimates sight unseen and sent mere sales prople to my home. Anil, the owner of Sumintra (B.S. in electrical engineering from U. of Pennsylvani) came to my home, got up on my roof, and gave me an hour consultation that impressed me with his expertise. His installation work was as meticulous as any work I have ever contracted and he spared no time or visits to ensure a perfect job. Now, 9 and a half months later, my solar system has produced 10,600 kwh, more than paying for my electric bills, and has earned me an additional $750 in state incentives and power company reimbursements. Of course the federal gov't provided me a tax credit of 30% of my outlay. I can't say I have ever met a finer young professional than Anil, who has been such a pleasure to deal with. And his price beat all his large company competitors.

Anil was terrific. Always responsive. Very conscientious. Also very clean, unlike all my other contractors. I needed a smaller system (11 panels) and had a hard time finding someone who wanted to do a job that size. He knows his stuff and except for the delays from supply chain and license approval, all went smoothly.

Sumintra installed a solar system for a prior owner of a house that I bought. The inverter broke, and the Sumintra team (who I had not met before) was at the house the next day. They spent hours here, realized the inverter was still under warranty, convinced a (skeptical) manufacturer of the case, and within a week I had (1) a new inverter delivered and (2) installed. These guys are pros, and old-school. They get that a happy client is a client for life. Can't recommend highly enough. When it came to price, I would have paid anything - finding a contractor team that is this responsive is really rare these days. So I braced myself for something expensive and found that it was... completely affordable and worth the price dozens of times over. I feel that I received much more value than I paid for. These are the folks to see.

Whether or not to Install solar panels on your home is a big decision. Some home owners will want to install solar panels at the lowest cost, while others will want the highest quality installation. I found Sumintra via the Internet when I was having problems with my solar hot water system. The owner lives a few blocks from me. Although he doesn't do much hot water work these days, he was willing to come by and take a look at my system. It was his trick of temporarily switching the tank and collector sensor leads at the pump controller that allowed me to determine that my problem was not a bad sensor, as I'd thought, but a breakdown of the controller itself. He also provided me with contact information for acquiring a replacement controller from Sun Source Energy. I did so, and installed the new unit on my own. Mr. Sumintra did not charge me for the visit.
