Solar Optimum

We were lucky enough to have a project that went pretty smoothly and quickly. Granted, this may not be everyone’s experience so make sure to ask question and time frames for each part of the project. They explained the standard time for each part which was helpful in what to expect so when the permits were pulled faster than expected and the utility approved the system within a few days it was a pleasant surprise. Pretty happy with the whole experience.

I just signed with Solar Optimum to install a panel array + battery and they have been amazing so far. Mason is so fast and communicative, highly recommend. They were the quickest to offer different iterations/system sizes and also they are the best bang for your buck. That combo of good price + good customer service is hard to beat. I'll update this review once more work has been done. Very excited to start this process with Mason and team.

This is the 3rd time getting solar. They talk a good game and offer a good price. But, at the end of the day. They can not truly offer what they said. They had me at 40 panels on one side of the house. Then, when they came back it was 30 panels on one side and 5 panels below that would only product 60%. Then, we had round 2. They had me 30 panels, and they pull the permits to install. Come installatiin day, they missed measured and we where now at 25 panels on one side and 5 infront of the house. Which once again the 5 panels would only produce 60% of what the should. Now, we are at round 3 and down to 25 panels. We will see how that goes. None, of this information was forth coming. I had to ask the production level of the panels and the loss. Then, because of there mistakes. They raised the cost of the panels. Because, i was no longer getting 40 like they quoted. So, i know now i am being over charged. It to a lot of back and forth to get above the so called managers you deal with to agrue the price. In 3 months i had 3 different so called manager handling my project and all those error where never caught. They, do not take fault for anything, nor honor the pricing that was quoted. So, run for the hills and as fast as you can.

This is an update to my original review in which I was very upset that I had reached out to Solar Optimum on two separate occasions and got no response for their quote to be updated and reflect a Solar array that was not oversized for my house. Since the incident, I was contacted by both the Sales Manager, Randal and the Executive VP of Marketing, Rainier. I guess there was a glitch on Energy Sage’s platform and they never received my requests. After some email exchanging, I can say from this experience they are a company that I will consider working with and would have no problem recommending them as well. Solar Optimum has done all they can to ensure my satisfaction and I haven’t even signed a contact yet, that is true customer service that is very hard to come across in these times. Thank you Randal and thank you Rainier, your kind words and eagerness to ensure my satisfaction has been very much appreciated!

Mason Brown was very helpful and knowledgeable. Answered every single one of my questions gave me multiple options for set ups. He would Answer every single call and text message. And believe me, those were a lot coming from an Overthinker. There was plenty of options out there for solar including the big name, Tesla who I was working with as well. Solar Optimum employees were on point. Helping every step of the way. From availability for inspections on the weekends and not eating to be home for install we’re very helpful for someone who is very busy during the week and can’t get off of work.

We completed our project almost a year ago now and we are very very pleased with the results. Our utility bill is lowered a significant amount. Jose was a great help and the crew was knowledgeable.
