Going Solar!

We loved working with the team at Sun Path! They were super responsive and were able to get our project done in advance of their timeline. We're super happy to be supporting the green energy transition!

Highly recommend

We had our solar panels installed by Sun Path in July, and I wanted to wait until I could assess a couple of billing cycles before writing this review. Sun Path may be a smaller company, but after conducting extensive research and comparing them with five other companies, we ultimately chose them for our solar panel installation. We decided to go with the REC panels, which are considered the best available, and paired them with Enphase 8A microinverters, keeping in mind the possibility of adding a battery in the future. Briggs, from Sun Path, did a fantastic job of educating me and patiently addressing all of my skeptical questions. After the installation, the next significant challenge was determining whether the system was performing as advertised, and an even bigger challenge was reconciling the metrics provided by Seattle City Light and Enphase. It took an entire billing cycle to crunch the numbers and confirm that they were indeed in alignment. Initially, it was a bit nerve-wracking as the figures appeared to be quite disparate, but after analyzing two months' worth of data, they matched up. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Sun Path team throughout this process. Briggs handled the system design, Kristy assisted with the financial aspects (and like everyone else, we used PSCCU), and I must give a special mention to Sonja, who expertly managed the entire project. She was a lifesaver, ensuring everything stayed on track and keeping our nerves in check!

Worth the Wait

I shopped around for a good solar company, and SunPath Electric wowed me with their friendly nature and fantastic prices. They had everyone else I found beat on communication and price, and the only downside was I would have to wait a while to get my solar panels installed. I decided to go with them and am glad I did, because the installation went flawlessly, the price was well below what any other competitor could offer, and now I have a great solar system that continues to work great.

Highly Experienced, Highly Reliable, Best Prices, and Great to Work With

We could not be happier than we are with Sun Path Electric. They were highly responsive to our request for a solar bid but never pressured us to buy before we were ready. Sun Path was a young company when we hired them, so I checked references carefully. The references confirmed that owner Briggs Nieman has many years of experience doing solar installations as well as conventional electrical work. One architect I phoned described Briggs as his “go-to guy for anything solar.” Ours is a fairly large (11.8 kW) ground-mount system in a somewhat difficult location due to shading. Sun Path handled the installation efficiently, and after five years of production, output has met or exceeded Sun Path’s projections. We had one inverter fail a couple of years ago, and Sun Path replaced it promptly at no cost to us. Sun Path Electric is in the solar business for all the right reasons, and their integrity and commitment to building a sustainable future for our communities is evident in the way they do business. They’ve earned my highest recommendation.

Sun Path and Solar Edge

I was interested in having solar installed to save money and make use of natural energy. The federal and state incentives for rebates were expiring. I had several bids and there were several options for solar panels, converters and layouts. I chose Sunpath for the installation. Kristy and Royce were very knowlegible and informative in explaining the benefits of installing solar. They worked with me on financing and got the permits. Installed a new electrical panel and the exchanger. I downloaded the solar edge program on my phone and although I don't check it on a daily basis anymore, it is still fun to see how many kw my solar panels are generating.

LET THE SUN SHINE

Working with SUN PATH ELECTRIC, Kristy and Briggs show their passion for clean power as well as their concerns for the environment. Briggs is a master craftsman who installed our solar system on the roof of our vacation cabin. The system included a 10KWH battery that provides enough energy to keep lights and the refrigerator operating in our small 800sf cabin for nearly a week. They clearly explained about NET METERING and how the banked energy supply works (we have paid the minimum of $7.49 each month since the system was commissioned).
