On August 21, 2024, SWG Energy Inc, through its President Joseph J. Willix, issued an official company letter on their letterhead regarding a fascia board repair at a residence. In this letter, the company made assessments and statements about termite damage and treatment that appear to constitute practicing structural pest control without a license. Specifically, its president: - Made definitive statements about the presence/absence of termite damage in an official capacity - Provided advice about termite treatment time-frames, stating "which usually is not required to treat termites for a period of 10 years" These statements were made in an official business document, on company letterhead, including their contractor's license number, suggesting they were operating in a professional capacity when making these pest control determinations. SWG Energy Inc (CSLB License #1005845) has potentially violated the Business and Professions Code Section 8550 and a report will be filed to the SPCB and DCA for investigation. Additionally, the president Joseph J. Willix, trespassed on a property to gain access to the subject property. He did so without notification to the property owner and was rude and condescending to the property owner when confronted about it. His unprofessionalism was blatant. He and his company will get the job done, for sure. But expect shady dealings to get it done, without a care unless caught.
