Bait and switch, no communication

We settled on Titan after much reviewing on energysage. On the energysage quote, they had quoted a microinverter system. When we received the actual quote and design, it was SolarEdge inverter system for the same price. After questioning this, I was told they were just as good but we could switch to micro inverters for $2.00 per w more. I let it stand as SolarEdge. What a mistake. I didn’t know at the time that the SolarEdge inverters have a 60% failure rate. After having our system 1 year and 3 months, the inverter failed. It took many communication attempts to get Titan to respond, then another two weeks to get a replacement inverter delivered. Then Titan says they can’t replace it for two months. They got SolarEdge to replace it who contracted it out to someone else. 24 days without power production. I can hardly wait until it fails again next year and go through the same thing again. Go with emphase micro inverters because SolarEdge inverters are unreliable.

Poor communication, provided false information and constant delays.

They never communicated any status updates, the system was promised to be started in December 2023, and they never actually sent the system specs to my local energy company till Jan 2024. Then they promised after a quick approval from energy company install of January 10, 2023. On January 9, they contacted me and said they wouldn't be able to get part in place and it would now be February 13/14, 2024. I probably should have completely cancelled the system, because if this process just to get installed was very poor. They keep saying at first they were waiting on approval from local power company. After 2 weeks of the same, I actually contacted local power company and after talking with the engineer that approves all solar products he advised me after a few minutes of research, that no request had been received. Once I confronted them with that information, they said they would research. Then 2 weeks I still had no updates, and the engineer still hadn't reviewed any proposal for approval I called and said I am tired of their lies and want to cancel, and all the sudden they immediately sent approval request next morning for approval. I recommend everyone completely steer away from this horrible company.

Run, Don't Walk, AWAY from Titan Solar

False promises, lack of communication, poor management, delayed timelines, and a huge involvement of time and energy by me to make sure Titan did its job that resulted in me actually losing money is the story of my experience with Titan. They caused permanent damage to my garage when installing the unit and their "upper management" has been completely uninterested in helping or working to make things better. Customers deserve much, much better.

Very Happy in California

I was hesitant to go with Titan based on older reviews but being in California I was under the gun to get something done before net metering rules changed in April of this year. The original quote and customer service came from an independent agent (Jamie Duncan) who works with Titan as the installer. Jamie reassured me Titan was a reliable choice and I was not disappointed. First - the process of working the design, my needs with batteries, and making the NEM 2.0 deadline went well with Jamie coordinating with Titan engineering. Titan hurried the engineering process and permitting through as promised to meet all of the important dates. Install also went good. There were a few issues, as to be expected with any larger project, but I was very impressed with how the Titan team dealt with them. The install crew, led by Kyle, was professional and personable. Additionally a great safety culture which is nice to see. I did need to stay on top of the issues and be an advocate for my job, but never received any push back or delay related to my requests or concerns. If there was one negative, I was not always clear on who to call at Titan with issues on the job. Jamie and Xavier on the customer service side helped me with this and ultimately Jamie, the lead installer, became a great resource for making sure I was happy & things were working correctly. All in all - I would highly recommend at least the Titan Solar group out of the Southern California location for solar.
