Even before my system was complete and powered on, I was recommending Southern Exposure Solar to neighbors and friends. I am a super-researcher and had interviewed 10 solar install companies before choosing Grayson and Fred at Southern Exposure. Most of their competitors were larger operations, had a "sales" guy/gal who were a little pushy and/or lacked what I sniffed out to be full transparency, integrity and passion for solar that Grayson and Fred had in spades. The other big reason for choosing SES was the product = CertainTeed. Again, I did my homework on the company and products. Since I needed a new roof (who knew I had hail damage?? Enough for a full replacement compliments of my homeowners!) I chose a CertainTeed high-end shingle, then the choice for a complementary CertainTeed solar system seemed a no-brainer. SES's pricing was not the absolute best/lowest, however, close enough, plus the financing (yes, I needed financing) was definitely the best deal. The CertainTeed solar combined with the quality of the micro inverters and all the other jazz and amazing warranty set-up with one transfer to a new homeowner sold me. The install went smoothly with Tyler, Snow and Eric; they were professional, clean and friendly. The county inspection went off without a hitch and after 3-weeks, my power company gave the green light to power up! I am excitedly staring at the Enphase charts, watching the production numbers ... I am thrilled with my decision to hire Southern Exposure Solar and imagine you will be, too.

The home solar buying experience for many can feel like buying a used car. After reviewing many big brand companies for installing solar at our house no one company checked all the boxes. Power generation, cost, maintenance and visual appearance. We found Southern Exposure Solar and after the first meeting we knew this would be a different experience. Grayson took the time to review our options and identify the best way to leverage our roof space to maximize power generation. His no pressure way of conversation left us feeling like we were having a discussion rather than a sales pitch. The pricing was appropriate for the product and warranty (25 years) we were receiving. The black-on-black solar plans and supports created a clean appearance that to this day we get asked if we still have solar because it blends into the house architecture. The installation team were highly professional and checked in and communicated the steps they were working through. Overall, a very positive experience and would recommend Grayson and the Southern Exposure Solar team to anyone looking at evaluating solar for their home or business.

The entire experience has been great from my first meeting to the install all the way to my most recent power bill for the month of August being almost nothing in an all electric house. Grayson took the time to sit down and answer all my questions and show me some of the materials they used (and I confirmed by inspecting the materials during install) and always let me make a decision without pressure. I like their approach to the warranty and the local knowledge really helped the whole process in ways bigger companies cannot hope to do. The on-site installers were courteous and worked with me when I had accidentally scheduled some tree work and let them know someone else was coming. I also like that while they used different loan system than other solar companies, it will end up costing me less over the life of the loan.

I wish that every home renovation type process went as smoothly as Southern Exposure made the installation of solar panels. Grayson and Fred (the two founders) were both friendly, knowledgeable, and professional; as were their installation crew. Their pricing is competitive, and their warranties is among the best. I also appreciated that when evaluating a return on investment, Southern Exposure was the only company that took a pessimistic approach (they showed a worst-case scenario whereas everyone else made projections based on a best-case one). The team at SES was responsive to the questions that I had and made everything from beginning to end seamless. If you want quality work from a small business, then you won't go wrong with Southern Exposure Solar.

Southern Exposure Solar installed my residential solar system five months ago and I have been extremely happy with the results. A bit of patience was required initially as my system was turned on just as we headed into winter, with limited sun exposure. As we moved into spring, however, my system is producing more energy than expected and I've had no problems at all. Grayson and Fred stayed in communication with the installation crew and quickly resolved any issues. The crew was professional and did an expert job. Britney was friendly and efficient with ensuring all requirements were completed with my electric company. All-in-all, a great experience. I highly recommend Southern Exposure Solar.

I spoke with Jason after receiving a second quote due to my error regarding average electric usage. After a very lengthy and in depth discussion on a solar system that would fit my home. I decided not to have a solar system installed. So why am I writing a review? The answer lies in my conversation with Jason and the approach he was willing to take based on my needs. In short he realized based on my age and financial situation, that I would have an unreasonable recovery time. Although I didn't have a system installed my recommendation is still 5 Star. His time and effort in addition to his courteous manner inspired me to write this review. In short I would recommend Southern Exposure Solar to all my friends and family.
