For me, a locally owned business was import. Dunnegan is the owner of Connected Energy Group and was the only person I interacted with throughout the whole process. Prior to starting my solar project, I did some research on my own to understand the basics of solar systems and then obtained multiple quotes through EnergySage. From the beginning, Dunnegan’s quote was the only reasonable representation of what could actually be installed on my roof, with a realistic output estimates. He took the time to understand what I was after in a solar system. Other companies provided quotes from halfway around the world, with completely unrealistic proposals. Once I decided to continue with Connected Energy, Dunnegan came to the house to take measurements and put his eyes on my actual roof. His original quote did not need any changes b/c he took the time to get it right up front. He walked me through how the entire process would work and made no attempt to get me to sign or commit to anything on the spot. He actually suggested I think it over and reach back out to him with any questions before we proceeded. My project had a little difficulty getting through the engineering permits for a roof installation, but Dunnegan took care of everything. We had to adjust our original plan (i.e. panel layout and panel type) but he made sure any changes still aligned with my solar objectives. Through this, I ended up with more production but no additional cost. Most importantly and why I wanted a local business, even months after installation and payment was made, Dunnegan still quickly responds any questions I have. The hardest part of entire solar project was finding Connected Energy Group, but once I found them the entire process was effortless.

They did a good job on the initial installation and worked through some issues with the solar supplier equipment. They have continued to be available to help me work through problems as they’ve come up over the course of the past year.

I was impressed with Dunnegan's knowledgeable explanation of his products, services, and my various options. There was zero sales pressure, and he patiently answered my many questions. I was especially impressed with the quality of every one of his other reviews, and with the comments of the previous customers whose names he gave me as references. (This was in stark contrast to other solar providers I considered.) The entire process was seamless, as Dunnegan took care of all of the details including applications, coordination with my service provider, installation, and activation. All of the equipment appears to be of very high quality. The installation crew was quick, professional, and efficient, and the details were neat and well-considered. Dunnegan personally resolved some minor installation issues.

We had a 11.2 kW system installed and couldn’t be happier with the way the installation went. Dunnegan and the group of installers were great and took the extra time to make things perfect. Can’t say enough great things about this company. System is working better than I could have expected. Thanks to Dunnegan and the crew that did our installation.
