BUYER BEWARE !!!

I wish I could give this company zero stars. As a subcontractor, working with them has been a total disaster. Not only did they fail to pay us for the work we completed, but their lack of communication and blatant disregard for basic business ethics has been shocking. After completing our contracted work in good faith, we were met with endless excuses, ignored emails, and unreturned phone calls. We’ve now been forced to take drastic measures to recover our payment, including placing a lien on the property we worked on. This is the last resort for any contractor, and it should never come to this. The fact that we’ve had to take this step is a clear reflection of how little this company cares about its subcontractors or the people they do business with. Their lack of professionalism has not only caused financial stress but also damaged our reputation in the industry. We’ve had to explain to the client why we’ve placed a lien on their property—something that could’ve been easily avoided if this company had simply honored their payment terms. Bottom line: Do not work with this company. They are untrustworthy, and they don’t respect the hard work of subcontractors. If you value your time, money, and reputation, steer clear.

Solar

Got strung along for 7 months and reached out numerous times and never got a response. I’ve never dealt with anyone with such poor communication skills. They communicate quickly to get their first initial downpayment and were to quick to get their second one for the final deposit but when it came to getting the “enphase” up and running they went ghost for about a month because they already got their money and didn’t care about the customer. This is after not hearing from them for months to do the same install on my panels after getting the proper permitting. All and all just an awful experience. Look elsewhere if you’re wanting to get solar installed.

No Thanks

This company is a joke. I had an electrical issue. I called 10 times before anybody answered the phone 2 days later somebody came out couldn't figure out the problem for 3 hrs. Finally said it was fixed and the problem worked for a few hours.I was also interested in Solar and had some questions. The answers were a little muddled like they didn't really know details..i also had backup battery questions which returned a few short answers. I had done some research so just want clarification..I was told someone the office would contact me. The next day I called a different electrical contractor they were out in one hour fixed my electrical problem in thirty minutes and gave me a complete excellent solar and battery backup quote. Answered my battery backup sizing questions.. I would go a different Route!!

Company contracted for a job then ghosted

I had a very similar experience when dealing with Universal Electric and Solar PNW for a battery installation. They initially scheduled the work after taking a half down payment, but the follow-through was lacking. There were delays in completing the project, and communication was practically non-existent, despite multiple attempts to reach out. It's really frustrating when companies don’t follow through with what they promise. I hope they address our concerns soon.

Absolute dumpster fire project management

TL,DR: it took them over one year from contract signing to system working, with multiple delays, having my messages being ignored or not having even who to reach out to, no-shows without prior warning. I've signed a contract with them on 3/7/2023. My project included solar panels, SPAN smart panel, and a battery. At first, they seemed organized, but there was some wait times for materials to arrive and licensing. Installation started on Jun 21st. After rescheduling several times, no-shows with explanations that sounded like excuses, installation was finalized by late Sep. Finally, I got permission to operate from my city on Oct 25th, and by Feb 2024 I still didn't have my system working. The first time my system was fully working, with battery being charged, and excess electricity was on March 2024, 1 year after contract signing. In the end, I don't really trust some of the components they installed (like the Sol Ark alternator), they didn't help me set up the SPAN panel automation nor any monitoring of the alternator, and the technical support will be with them, not with a 3rd party company as states on my only signed contract I followed up through emails, SMSs and calls this entire year (I still have all of this documented). It was a massive headache, they were unprofessional at times, I felt ignored, taken for granted, and I don't recommend this company to a single living soul. Edit: United Electric PNW, in its response, failed to mention that it acquired the company I’ve signed the contract with, and with the acquired company, comes all its liabilities, my contract included. You can’t simply say “it’s not my problem”.

We’re a power plant!

We just finished a big project with United! The meter got hooked up yesterday. My husband and I started working with United in November after the huge wind storm that left us without power for 5 days. Our goal was to be more energy independent during outages and just generally more independent. We not have a 20 panel ground mount system with battery back up. The whole process was wonderful. First, talking to Anders about project goals and ideas. He was so great about taking a big picture idea of energy independence and making it a real-world option. Then, during the actual design phase, Aaron was wonderful about answering my many specific and detailed questions. After the design was finished and the installation was starting, we starting working with Aslan the customer service rep. I cannot tell you how amazing it was to have one point of contact that could take care of all the details, both big and small. Because we had such a large project, there were a lot of people involved, the contractors for the trench, the electricians, the people from SnoPUD, the inspectors, the delivery people. Aslan took care of everything and kept us in the loop. Every time we had an issue, he took care of it. Once, the contractors who filled in the trench weren’t able to finish a section of the brick path. Aslan came by to fix it himself. The whole thing would have been too overwhelming if we didn’t have him. Thank you to the whole United Solar team!
