About Southern Home Solar

Overview

In 2001, owner Shawn Kalgren decided to make a career change that would ultimately set a new standard in the home renovation industry. He left the North Carolina school system to pursue a different type of service – Southern Home Services. Combining his teaching skills with his 15 years of home renovation experience, Shawn created a company whose values and principles are reflected by its exemplary work. This has led to legions of happy, satisfied customers who continuously recommend Southern Home Services to their neighbors, friends and families.

Partnering with Peter Allen several years later to offer Southern Home Solar we have extended our
exemplary customer service and craftsmanship to a new arena. “Exterior Renovation perfected by Superior Dedication” is not only our motto, but our pledge to every to every customer who places their confidence in us. We can do this by bringing educational experience and trade expertise to the table, so no customer is uninformed and no detail is overlooked. This is why Southern Home Solar won’t be seen on television or heard on the radio – our customers do the advertising for us.

Excellent Job

We recently used Southern Home Solar to install solar panels on our house outside of Charlotte, NC. Shawn and Peter and their crew did an amazing job from the planning phase all the way through installation, inspection, and interconnection. They handled all the details for us which included getting permission from our HOA, dealing directly with the county inspectors, and also our local power company. They took care of everything with a smile. The communication with us as customers was second to none, and clearly they value each and every customer they work with. We have used Shawn in the past for other exterior work on our house, and we have always been impressed with the overall experience and the end result. Without any hesitation, I recommend Southern Home Solar to you.
