I'm a 35 year veteran home-builder and because of my skill-set I thought it would be easy to find a company to install panels, that I had already purchased, to expand my current system. Wow, I was wrong. It took me over a year after contacting dozens of companys until I found CSS. After my initial interaction with John, CSS sales engineer, I felt I had hit a home run. As a contractor myself, I could tell from our conversation that he knew exactly what I was desiring, understood my existing system and specs, was always prompt to reply and had me a quote very quickly. From there we worked through the installation plan, layout, and scheduling. My next interaction was with Kareem, their solar install specialist, to fine tune our plan. During our time we discussed all the parameters of the installation and tweaked the actual racking layout, wiring routing, and application of the optimizers and monitoring components. We were set for installation day! Kareem, crew leader Sean, and 2 other installers showed up on time and ready to go. We went over our plan and made some minor adjustments based on their inspection of my existing equipment and my plan to incorporate the new panels into these components. I was extremely impressed with how each crew member had a task and worked seamlessly together to move quickly about their task. This was an unusual and difficult job. My home is 2 stories on a basement, with a steep pitch 10/12 roof. The panels I had purchased were commercial grade, Bi-facial panels, nearly 4ft x 8 ft in size, and weighing 75 lbs each. Just getting them up to the roof and the roof pitch alone was why I had not attempted to install them myself already. The crew erected ladders and installed safety harnesses and made the work look easy while working together like a choreographed dance. By the end of the day the project was complete, site and roof was clean, and panels were tested to confirm all the electrical output was proper. The following day I completed the PV MPPT connections and was producing power. Glorious! Following the installation, I had a few questions about the Tigo monitoring software and reached out to Kareem. He was prompt to respond and walked me through my questions. The following week John checked in with me to be sure all was well and I was pleased with the service. I can't recommend CSS more heartily! They are thorough from first interaction thru to the end and follow up. The price they charged was fair and very transparent in the proposal they presented. They also gave me equipment options of which I selected a few. I also now have a company that can service my needs should I have issues in the future or wish to expand. This is not the first time I have delt with Custom Solar Solutions, and it will not be the last. On time, took the time to work out the details with me, and brought the system to the point I requested. Pust in a very long day but did not leave until the system was up and running. Great customer service and very good work. Highly recommended.
