After doing a lot of research and talking to various companies, I decided to go with True Texas Solar and highly recommend you do the same. My sales contact was Mickey. He is a meteorologist by trade, very nice to deal with but most importantly: honest. If he didn't know the answer to a technical detail question, he was open about it, investigated and followed up promptly. Compared to other companies, TTS on the smaller side and local - one of the main reasons for choosing TTS. I anticipated better responsiveness and prefer to work with the same team all the way through rather than ending up with random contractors for the install that have no stake in delivering quality. My expectation was more than met - Josh J. (CEO) and Josh C. (Ops Manager) actually came out well after regular business hours for a follow up call at one point. Both are great to deal with as well. Another advantage compared to competitors, TTS was flexible to accommodate special requests - I chose a different type of panel and also added a SPAN panel w/ car charger. The price was very competitive compared to other quotes I have gotten. All in all, I would 100% go with TTS again and if you are thinking about solar, I suggest you have them come out for a quote rather than wasting your time on all the infamous "solar is free" snake oil companies! TTS will tell you what it will cost and what makes sense for you. I dug in, ran numbers myself and can say from experience that they won't try and mislead you.

I highly recommend True Texas Solar! This was our third solar installation and by far the best. Our previous experiences were with national companies and installation took a long time and there were several unnecessary delays and issues. This time we wanted to go with a local installer hoping for a better experience, and that's what we received. Communication was great and project quickly moved along. Also, the pricing and financing was far better than the other quotes we received. They installed the system in just over a month from signing and promptly handled the PTO. Thanks to Aaron, Shane, Winter, Josh and everyone and True Texas Solar.

This company is GREAT!! It really helps with the electric bill. When everyone else was paying huge electric bills with our hot summer last year, mine was much lower! If you haven't already, I suggest you sign up and tell them I sent you!!
