Our system was just installed by Commonwealth Solar and we just received permission to operate two days ago. They offered a system made with quality American made components and a great warranty. The system is operating according to the specifications and I am satisfied. The thing that stands out to me with Commonwealth is how excellent the communication was and how quickly they work. Any questions I sent were answered within hours. I have never worked with such a responsive contractor. The crew was courteous and did a great job. Any special requests I made were accommodated. Any issues that arose were promptly dealt with. We went from initial inquiry to operation in six weeks and that includes a week for me to make the decision and a week that I needed to delay the installation. I can't tell you how the system will perform and what the relationship will be like over the next 25 years, but based on my experience so far, I have high hopes. We have a unique property with perceived limitations that 3 of the 4 companies all but dismissed for a solar array and battery. Moreover, we had specific goals for our system design that other companies stated we could not build. Commonwealth Solar discussed our goals and considered our needs during system design. We installed a solar array on our house with inverters and battery backup. We liked the fact that it offset our bill from the utilities to our base charge. But the best part is we have power when the utilities is down! In March there was a period of 2 weeks that our community was without power and we went by with no interruption. We are fortunate and grateful for the addition to our home.

We were luck in that it was sunny every day after that, and between the solar panels and our battery backup, the system kept our entire house and farm online through the outage like nothing had happened.
