Good Energy Solutions

Good Energy gets several things really right. 1. they gave us a very accurate estimate of how much solar we needed to power our house. Now we have many months when we pay only the taxes and fees for power...about $12 a month. 2. they gave us very good support during the first few months as we were getting used to how to understand the various readouts and such that are associated with our panels and our account. 3. they have been extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns about our panels. 4.10 years later we are very happy that we decided to use Good Energy to install and take care of our solar panels.

I had an excellent experience with Good Energy. Their price was competitive (I received bids from 2 companies), they communicated clearly, and performed the work as scheduled. Since the 20-panel array has put in service in 2022, they have continued to respond quickly to my questions. When a panel micro-inverter failed, they provided great service. I continue to believe I made the right choice in selecting Good Energy to install my solar panels.

Very good at selling what was a good product, even though it was more expensive than other companies' offerings. Installation was fast, efficient and professional. Utility bill savings with the solar panels has been exactly what we'd hoped for. Followup and support when that manufacturer when bankrupt has been minimal at best, which has been very disappointing after paying a premium price for the premium product they marketed. Had support and followup been available, I'd have rated 5 stars even with the higher than average price they charged.

Just like everyone who planned to install solar. There's a lot of investment, researching, and planning. We wanted to buy our solar system from an American made company. Unfortunately, Good Energy Solutions(GES) was the only company that installed SunPower, and SunPower was the only American made. Everything with the sell rep. was ok. The biggest issue was with the person handling our project, Christina Carroll. It was very hard to get a hold of her for questions and the project status. Their company was about 3-4 hours away from us, and they told us it shouldn't be a problem. That was a big mistake for trusting them. 8 months later, we threatened to cancel the whole project, and that's when we found out they couldn't even get a license to install in our area. The whole project had to be contracted out to a local company for the work to start and finish. A year later, 3 of the inverters went bad. GES also had to contract that work out to another local company. The local company that installed our system didn't install them in the correct orders. So what should've taken them 1 hour to change out the inverters, ended up being over 4 hours. And unfortunately for us, SunPower just recently went bankrupt. We don't know if our warranty is any good anymore. Good Energy Solutions really sold us on SunPower and nothing else. They never once compared any other solar brands when we 1st talk to them. That was also our mistake for trusting their expertise and not researching more on other brands. With 18 panels, the whole project cost us $18k after the government taxes credit.

I chose Good Energy Solutions after quite a bit of research, an in-person meeting, and comprehensive proposal. Other firms never responded or answered questions fully, GES was prompt in their responses, had the best products and guarantees, and considerate installation crew that took care of my home. I've recommended them to others several times.

With few options to get solar panels, we had three companies to our place to price and learn about solar. Our confidence in what we would get for service was low on all three, but we loved the idea of solar otherwise. I mentioned our concerns to a friend and he recommended good energy. We were sold on their service and professionalism almost immediately. When it came to price, they were in line with prior estimates but seemingly far and away better with their service. Our decision to get panels after meeting with GE was easy and we are happy with the entire experience. Great communication and professional.
