Good experience as home owner

I recently had the pleasure of working with 8M Solar, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience! From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Aaron, Hamza, Shahzaib, Ahsan, and Jonathan were all outstanding in their respective roles, ensuring every step of the process was smooth and seamless. Aaron and Hamza took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I was comfortable with the technical aspects. Shahzaib was amazing with his prompt communication and attention to detail, while Ahsan's expertise was evident in the flawless installation. 8M Solar install September 2024

After a few years of looking into Solar, Duke Energy and the Federal Government gave my wife and I the incentives to push forward. Like most we had a few things we were concerned about and I will list them along with what actually happened: 1) Curb appeal of solar panels: still have a hard time adjusting but they are not as bad as I thought since 8M made them symmetric. 2) The system will not generate the energy planned: i was completely wrong on this. Our house uses around 1.2KW (more than average) and we generate between 5 KW when cloudy and 9 KW with bright sun. 8M stated our average would be around 7-8KW and they were more acute than the weatherman. 3) If installed wrong our roof would leak or damage the roof from movement: this goes back to picking a company like 8M. Everything was installed better than planned, and we have had no leaks, even with the last two tropical storms running through the area. One surprising result is that our roof barely moves now during high winds, so not more creaking or sounding like stuff will blow off. 4) Lastly, what if the shingles need to be replaced before the panels: This one was a personal thing and I would say if your roof is more than 10 years old, just see about having the section done that the panels will sit on. It's easier to complete before hand, and will be cheaper than replacing later anyway. All in all, very happy with the panels and the 8M team as this wasn't an easy decision to make, but 8M kept me updated through the process. I have to add a plug in for Jeff Redwine with Renewable Energy Group as he was a big help as well in, our descision to go solar.

Best Price and Best System

I obtained quotes from four different solar companies for a solar system with a Powerwall3. Not only was 8MSolar the lowest price but they also offered the best panels (highest capacity and longest guarantee) and the lowest finance rate. They worked with Duke Energy to get my PowerPair rebate approval. It was a long month waiting for installation (like a kid waiting for Christmas), but installation was yesterday. Everything looks great and is working perfectly. Highly recommended.
