After a truly awful experience with Sunrun (who took over my original solar provider, Vivint), I was hesitant to trust any solar company again. But my roof replacement forced my hand, and I needed to get my panels reinstalled. Enter Solar Tech Elec - they were an absolute lifesaver! Back in 2021, they handled the de-installation of my 39 panels with incredible efficiency and professionalism, all at a very reasonable cost. Then, life got in the way, and I had to delay the reinstallation for almost two years. I was so worried they wouldn't honor our original agreement after all that time. To my relief, Ross (the CEO) was incredibly understanding and accommodating. His team was back on my roof less than a week after the holidays, and they were fantastic! They were communicative throughout the entire process, arrived promptly, worked incredibly fast (the whole installation took under 4 hours!), and the quality of their work was impeccable. They even optimized the placement of my panels for better sun absorption! Ross has since offered me some great incentives to transfer my service to Solar Tech Elec, which I'm thrilled to do. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They turned a stressful situation into a positive experience, and I'm so grateful for their outstanding service."

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received from SolarTech Elec and Ross Dyson. It took nearly a year to install my solar panels, and I was even charged for several months before they were operational. While the installation itself looked fine, the issues I’ve experienced with the panels not working properly have been ongoing. The response to address these problems has been horrendous. I invested $52,000 in these solar panels and expected better customer service and support. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Ross Dyson. He talks a good game but fails to follow through on his promises. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited over a year before posting this complaint, hoping things would improve, but they have not. While it’s a difficult thing to do considering he can be retaliatory and not fulfill his warranty obligations, I strongly feel that honesty is the best policy! SolarTech Elec is supposed to provide reliable service for such a costly investment, but I strongly advise others to look elsewhere. You can’t invest this kind of money and then be left with unresolved issues and unacceptable delays in service. Once Ross received his payment, he became nearly impossible to reach. To make matters worse, I also had Ross install solar panels on two other family members’ homes, and now I regret recommending his company. I currently have a panel that has been out of service for over three months. I emailed about this issue, followed up with a text over a week ago, and 2 months later still haven’t received any response or indication of when the panel will be repaired. This level of service is unacceptable, and I urge anyone considering SolarTech Elec to reconsider. After posting my disapproval, now I received text threatening to contact the Miami Building Department and voiding my warranty. Not sure how unethical that may be, but that’s a testament to his character.

We recently purchased our first home with solar panels and suffered damages during the hurricanes. The Solar Tech team’s maintenance package has been awesome in getting us set up with monitoring, warranty and special pricing to replace broken/missing pieces from the original install. Highly recommend this service to anyone with solar panels!

I lost a solar panel during hurricane Helene and needed a reliable company to replace the panel and check my system. My original solar company was no longer providing maintenance or support to my solar edge system. I spoke to Ross and he described the maintenance program they offer at 3 different levels( I bought the platinum program). The technician came out within a week. He was very professional and did a good job cleaning and assessing my system. He found some roof damage that occurred when the panel was torn off. I would have never known about the damage (my panels are on the 3 rd story of my house). They replaced the lost panel and transferred the monitoring and warranties of my system to them. I am extremely happy with their service, professionalism and support of my system. If you are in the market for solar panel maintenance I suggest you give them a try.

We live in Citrus County and needed to have our roof replaced, so we contacted Solar tech elec to inquire about the removal and reinstall our solar panels after completion of roof replacement. Ross the owner was extremely helpful and upfront about the entire process, always promptly answering our texts/ phone calls whenever we had questions.Our panels were all removed in a timely manner and reinstalled right after the roofing company had finished their job. Overall, our experience with Solar Tech Elect was excellent and most definitely we recommend their services.
