Proud American Electrical and Solar

I was referred to Proud American by a business contact, and they provided an exceptional experience from the beginning of the solar application process through to the final powering up of the system. Jesse is very responsive and provides regular updates along the way. I also really liked the fact that this company has its own team of in-house electricians. For me, the installers also being electricians that can address possible electrical issues during the installation process is a great bonus. I would highly recommend Proud American if you are considering solar.

I wish I had written a review a year ago when we installed solar with them, but recently they came out as a courtesy and checked for birds getting in the panels. They've also followed up with performance of the system, and have been great to work with.

When looking for solar installation options, I had read a lot of negative reviews about many companies. I stumbled upon reviews for Proud American and was surprised they were positive. We had apprehensions about signing up for solar with a small company but the staff, including the owner, reassured us by having backup plans in case they ever went out of business (hopefully not). While considering our options, we never felt pressured by Proud American (something I can’t say for some other vendors). Sealing the deal for me was the company’s new solar panels line by Meyer Burger, a company with ethical standards. Proud American’s process was a bit different from other companies we’d talked to but we felt they were being honest and decided to sign. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything went. The company truly believes in over-delivering—panels were installed quickly, around our schedule, and without much fuss, and they passed inspection the first time around. We were hooked up and active in half the time I had anticipated (and half as long as other vendors promised). Icing on the cake was the availability to contact Proud American with any questions to which we got prompt responses. I am a happy customer and would 100% recommend to others!

I chose "Proud American Electrical & Solar" for my solar installation (completed 2-Apr-2024, less than 6 weeks after contract signed). I've been VERY HAPPY with the entire process with them! When working with a vendor, good communications is a top priority for me. Any vendor can have problems, delays, etc. - I just want to be informed, without bogus excuses. Jesse (the boss), Erik (sales) and the installation team all did a great job from start to finish. They also accommodated me with a request for a minor hardware upgrade, and tolerated my asking a lot of techy questions. And everyone associated with the project is local (some solar companies are 'national', so they sub-contract everything. When there is a problem, they can 'point fingers' at the other subs...). Proud American is Highly recommended!

I chose Proud American for my solar install because their staff was knowledgeable and wasn't pushy. The price was also very competitive compared to other quotes I received. They handled the entire process of getting permits, including freaking with my HOA. The install happened early than I expected, and my system looks and functions great. I'm very excited to check the status every day. Thanks to Proud American for a great experience!

I recommend this local business without hesitation. They have completed the removal of my old water-based solar system, installed the new PV solar system, coordinated all the permits/inspections, and delivered on time and within budget. Jesse and his crew were very professional and great to work with. I could not be happier.
